About The Play
Dramedy.  3+ males, 3+ females (6-30+ actors possible).  30-35 minutes.  Suitable for high school and older (or skilled middle school actors).

The Magic Hour is a follow-up to my most produced play, 4 A.M. It follows the same group of characters a year later but stands completely on its own (and of course it would also make a wonderful double bill with 4 A.M.). It premiered at Washington High School (Charles Town, WV).

Synopsis
It's 4 A.M. Most of their world may be asleep, but for a group of teens, it's time to wrestle with the changes in their lives. Meet the DJ of the internet's loneliest radio show, best friends who've moved apart and best friends who've grown apart, a teen Romeo and Juliet who can't find that perfect balcony scene, a serial letter writer who hasn't sent a single one and many others. Through scenes and monologues, they'll discover that there is indeed somebody out there and that the Monster Under the Bed is real, but will they be ready for what comes next?
